Dr. Stacy Blecher is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who specializes in comprehensive, whole-person care. Practicing outside the constraints of the traditional insurance-based healthcare system, she is able to offer not only the expertise menopause care requires—but also the time that meaningful care depends on.

  • Initial visits are scheduled for 60 minutes

  • Follow-up visits are 30 minutes (unless more time is requested)

This extended, unhurried model allows you the space to tell your story, feel heard, and build the kind of doctor-patient relationship that has largely disappeared in modern medicine.

Proactive Screening & Prevention

Because menopause can drive changes in blood pressure, cholesterol, and bone density, Dr. Blecher makes comprehensive screening a priority. This includes:

  • Blood pressure evaluation

  • Advanced lipid testing

  • Bone density assessment (DEXA scan)

If optimization or treatment is needed, she will work with you to create a personalized plan that may include:

  • Targeted nutrition strategies

  • Exercise and strength programming

  • Lifestyle interventions

  • Medication when appropriate

Bone Health
Estrogen plays a critical role in maintaining bone density. As levels fall during the menopause transition, bone resorption accelerates, increasing the risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis. This can lead to a higher likelihood of fractures, loss of height, and long-term mobility concerns if not identified and managed early.

Cardiovascular System
Hormonal changes also affect the heart and blood vessels. Declining estrogen is associated with increases in blood pressure, unfavorable cholesterol shifts, and changes in vascular function. Over time, this can elevate the risk of heart disease—the leading cause of death in women—making cardiovascular monitoring essential during and after menopause.

Mental Health & Cognitive Function
Fluctuating hormones can significantly impact brain chemistry. Many women experience mood swings, anxiety, depression, irritability, sleep disturbances, and brain fog. These symptoms are real, physiologic, and treatable. Addressing them is key to preserving quality of life, relationships, and daily functioning.

Genitourinary Health
The genitourinary system is especially sensitive to estrogen decline. Women may experience vaginal dryness, discomfort with intimacy, urinary urgency, recurrent urinary tract infections, and changes in bladder control. These symptoms—collectively part of the genitourinary syndrome of menopause—are common but highly manageable with appropriate care.

Metabolism & Lipids
Menopause often brings metabolic changes, including increased central weight gain, insulin resistance, and unfavorable lipid shifts.
