women's midlife care
it's not just Hormone Replacement Therapy
Menopause is far more than the end of menstrual cycles—it is a whole-body transition driven by shifting and declining hormone levels, particularly estrogen, progesterone and testosterone.
These hormonal changes influence nearly every organ system, often in ways that are subtle at first but significant over time. Understanding these effects is the first step toward protecting your long-term health.

Whole-Body Changes Require Whole-Person Care
Because menopause affects the entire body, it’s important to partner with a physician who is equipped to both prevent and treat these interconnected changes—not just address isolated symptoms.
Dr. Stacy Blecher is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who specializes in comprehensive, whole-person care. Practicing outside the constraints of the traditional insurance-based healthcare system, she is able to offer not only the expertise menopause care requires—but also the time that meaningful care depends on.
-
Initial visits are scheduled for 60 minutes
-
Follow-up visits are 30 minutes (unless more time is requested)
This extended, unhurried model allows you the space to tell your story, feel heard, and build the kind of doctor-patient relationship that has largely disappeared in modern medicine.
Proactive Screening & Prevention
Because menopause can drive changes in blood pressure, cholesterol, and bone density, Dr. Blecher makes comprehensive screening a priority. This includes:
-
Blood pressure evaluation
-
Advanced lipid testing
-
Bone density assessment (DEXA scan)
If optimization or treatment is needed, she will work with you to create a personalized plan that may include:
-
Targeted nutrition strategies
-
Exercise and strength programming
-
Lifestyle interventions
-
Medication when appropriate
Menopause is a natural transition—but its health effects are anything but minor. With the right physician, it becomes an opportunity not just to manage symptoms, but to protect your long-term vitality, strength, and well-being.
At MALI, you’re not a client. You’re a patient . As a physician-owned and operated practice, our priority is your health and long-term well-being—not making a sale.
the changes
Bone Health
Estrogen plays a critical role in maintaining bone density. As levels fall during the menopause transition, bone resorption accelerates, increasing the risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis. This can lead to a higher likelihood of fractures, loss of height, and long-term mobility concerns if not identified and managed early.
Cardiovascular System
Hormonal changes also affect the heart and blood vessels. Declining estrogen is associated with increases in blood pressure, unfavorable cholesterol shifts, and changes in vascular function. Over time, this can elevate the risk of heart disease—the leading cause of death in women—making cardiovascular monitoring essential during and after menopause.
Mental Health & Cognitive Function
Fluctuating hormones can significantly impact brain chemistry. Many women experience mood swings, anxiety, depression, irritability, sleep disturbances, and brain fog. These symptoms are real, physiologic, and treatable. Addressing them is key to preserving quality of life, relationships, and daily functioning.
Genitourinary Health
The genitourinary system is especially sensitive to estrogen decline. Women may experience vaginal dryness, discomfort with intimacy, urinary urgency, recurrent urinary tract infections, and changes in bladder control. These symptoms—collectively part of the genitourinary syndrome of menopause—are common but highly manageable with appropriate care.
Metabolism & Lipids
Menopause often brings metabolic changes, including increased central weight gain, insulin resistance, and unfavorable lipid shifts. Even women who have never struggled with weight may notice body composition changes. These metabolic effects further contribute to cardiovascular risk and require proactive management.

WEIGHT LOSS
Or as we like to call it;
Body Recompositioning
Gone are the days when “skinny” was the goal. Modern wellness is about building lean muscle, reducing harmful fat, optimizing metabolism, and feeling confident in your body’s strength and capability. That is the standard we strive for with every patient we serve.

A Roadmap — Not a Prescription Pad
We are not in the business of simply handing out prescriptions.
Instead, we develop a personalized roadmap designed around your physiology, your goals, and your lifestyle. Every plan is rooted in:
-
Strategic, sustainable nutrition
-
Strength-focused exercise programming
-
Lifestyle optimization
-
Medication and supplements — when appropriate, not automatic
This comprehensive approach ensures results that are not only effective, but maintainable.
We Track What Actually Matters
Traditional weight loss programs focus solely on the scale. We don’t.
Your progress is measured using meaningful body composition data, including:
-
Skeletal muscle mass — ensuring you are building or preserving strength
-
Visceral fat — the metabolically harmful fat linked to cardiovascular and metabolic disease
This allows us to confirm that every pound lost is the right kind of weight—fat loss, not muscle loss.
Built-In Support for Real Life
Body recomposition requires more than good intentions—it requires structure and support. That’s why our program includes:
Personal Training
Expert-guided sessions focused on strength, function, and metabolic health.
Curated Weekly Meal Concepts
Simple, realistic meal ideas designed to align with your goals delivered directly through your patient portal to reduce “food noise” and eliminate decision fatigue.
Health Coaching
Ongoing guidance, accountability, and strategy adjustments as your body evolves.
Strong Is the New Healthy
Body recomposition is about reshaping more than your body—it’s about redefining your relationship with health.
At MALI, our mission is to help you build strength, improve metabolic function, and feel empowered in your body—supported by a medical team that treats the whole person, not just the scale.
GLP-1 medications are a powerful tool, but without a strategy, you risk losing muscle and slowing your metabolism. Our program uses DEXA technology and MD-led nutritional protocols to ensure you emerge stronger, not just smaller
